¨ Roberta Davis is an award winning artist. Her work appears in many homes and work environments in the San Joaquin Valley. She is a signature member of the Society of Western Artists and the Alliance of California Artists. Roberta works mainly with pastel as her chosen medium, but watercolor and mixed media are still among her choices. When she is creating a painting, her emphasis is just to make a beautiful work of art and to create a sense of emotion for the viewer. That is what she has done with the illustrations for, It is I. Working on this project has brought her great pleasure. She looks forward to the sequel. In the meantime, she enjoys her home, husband, family, and painting.

¨ John E. Walker was born in San Francisco from a Chilean father and an El Salvadoran mother. From the age of nine he grew up in the quaint town of Clovis, in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley. He celebrated his 25th wedding anniversary in 2015 to a wonderful mother and wife. Together, they have four amazing children. He enjoys reading, exercising, motorcycling, and hanging out with the family watching movies. John will begin his 23rd year teaching in the fall of 2015. It is I is his first fairytale picture book. His students have thoroughly enjoyed his tales over the years, including, It is I. He knows teachers, parents, aunts, uncles, and especially grandparents will enjoy reading this to the children they love. The deceased American Author, Howard Pyle, has been a major influence in his writing.
